Where to eat and drink

At the port , next to the town hall, you will find Klimataria (+30 22273), making its own delicious history since 1970. This is where you will have traditional Greek cuisine with fresh meats and fish and the feeling you are home. At the top of the castle you will find Anatoli famous for its ouzo, dishes, rebetiko music and live performances. Skopelos is traditionally a rebetiko island. On another note Skopelos is known across the country for its dishes. Skopelos pies, dumplings, chamalia, avgato are some of the dishes you can find only here. If you happen to be at Glossa, go to Agnanti (+30 33606), with an amazing view and 60 years of experience you will be well compensated. As far as the nightlife is concerned, go to Merkourio (+30 24593), on the old port. It is a refurbished old town house with an excellent view, music from around the world and cool cocktails. Upon leaving remember to take the shop's cd and enjoy their music all year round.
