Mitropoleos & Proxenou Koromila:To put it sim­ply, if the impossible was bound to happen and Carrie Brandshaw was about to land on city grounds, this is where she’d start in order to em­bark on a serious shopping spree. For these streets are the boudoirs of expensive shops for expensive tastes. Compared to Proxenou Ko­romila street, Mitropoleos is some­how livelier, with trendy cafes, fast food and souvlaki canteens blending happily with the stores. On the other hand, Proxenou Koromila lives up to the ambition of being a compressed version of the Athenian Kolonaki dis­trict, providing the elite of boutiques, department stores and local design­ers’ salons.
